Blood color is determined using the HSB color model and results in a hexcode. HSB consists of three different factors: Hue, Saturation, and Brightness. Non-mutant HSB numbers must be: H = ≤330; S = ≥40; B = 80-30.
Anything outside of this standard blood color range is considered a mutant.

Hue determines blood caste. A non-mutated blood color will fall within these caste classifications:
Saturation determines the intensity, or “purity” of the color. The idea of purity based on blood color saturation has long been stripped of the modern Alternian culture because we’re a bit more advanced than that, hah. A non-mutated blood saturation level must be 40 or above.
Brightness is, as you’d expect, how bright a color is. A lower value is darker, a higher value is lighter. A non-mutated brightness level must fall between, or be equal to, 80 to 30.
